    LG Flatron 915FT+

I have a 19" CRT here that has some flickering issues.
Sometimes the picture turns yellowish and/or blueish for a fraction of a second, no matter if I use the VGA or RGB input.

it's not too dusty inside, but I'll clean it up a little bit and see what happens.

Do you mean the screen sometimes is changing colors (turning yellowish / blueish), more / less bright or color is litteraly lacking (e.g. it doesn't display blue for a fraction of second)?
Color shift may be due to oxidation on vga and bnc connectors, while lacking of one or more primary colors may be due to a damaged vga cable or an unstable welding on the screen board. I had an old 14" screen with both a twisted cable and cold weldings: colors used to change if I touched the cable (even moving the table) or tried to untwist it.
I think the brightness change may be due to weak solderings on the main transformer (you should hear a crackling sound), but I don't exclude other causes.
Try posting some photos about screen boards.

Color changes in CRTs come from many possibilities. Assuming that it is confined to the monitor there can be intermittent/noisy connections in a a number of color defining circuits, some being: internal to the color guns of CRT, color adjusting pots, bias resistors to color grids in CRT, bad CRT pin connections, bad connections at VGA input connector. It can be quite difficult to isolate these problems. Running with the cover off and gently moving or tapping suspect areas, even CRT neck, can isolate a problem.

Changes in brightness relate the CRT grid bias voltage variation. The same technique is applied.

Here CRT monitors are so cheap they are not worth the effort to fix.

Guess I've fixed it. I checked every single connector and board, and so far it works fine. I assume it was the CRT tube socket.

unfortunately i don't have my camera here (and cell phone pics suck), but I was surprised by the build quality.
Caps are Korea Chemicon (first time I've seen them) and Samwha (pre-Evercon era, the unit was built in 2001), the PCB layout is excellent as is its shielding.
Every single connector pin is labeled with its function.

This is my old screen wich I gave to my little sister when I moved. I got it a few years ago for ~60€ which was unbeatable.
it has had that little issue ever since, must have occurred during transport.
