This one started out as a "2 seconds then black" problem.. I was kinda hoping it was just a couple bulging caps but, no such luck.
Ended up tearing it apart to the bulbs. One was burned out to the point of already being open.. I replaced it with a 19" bulb..(yes, 19" bulb in a 22" monitor.. extremely ghetto, I know :/ all I had lying around)
Got it back together only to find 1/4 of the monitor now has horizontal+vertical lines.. that seem to be mostly non-moving..
Have tried:
Applying pressure all over the screen.
Twisting the screen.
Wiggling the ribbon connectors with it on.
Pencil eraser trick to clean the ribbon connectors..
Moving the lcd board with it on..
Wiped the board with rubbing alcohol/air..
To no affect.
Any ideas?
Would the driver board caps cause such issues?
Let me know if you need more pics, there's really not much to see though, I've been staring at them for a couple days now.
(the caps/boards that is)
Thanks
(sorry about the pic btw, camera sucks in low light..)
