    OMG acer x223w badcap?

    what you think?

    blinking blue power light
    same on other computer
    added repair manual

    repairable or what?

    new board...how about pointing me in the right direction

    Looks repairable.

    Replace the capacitors on the left side (first picture) , retouch a lot of solder joints (looks like there's some bad solder joints on 3rd picture (right at the bottom under that insulating glue, around the transformer to the top right)

    Remove that brown goo, it may have become conductive.. scrape it away.

      Update:

      Got new powerboard yesterday,20$ from china on ebay...installed and i have monitor working...better than ever...

        Now you can try to fix the old board. I'm sure the new board has bad quality caps on it, and wouldn't you like to have a reliable one?

            Easily fixed if it goes wrong though. May even want to consider a preventative re-capping.
