Samsung T240 self switch input

Hi all!
Some month ago I was able to fix a problem on a Samsung T240 thanks to this forum!
It's a great forum, I learned much about "bad caps" and other little stuff...

By the way... From some days the same monitor (Samsung T240) have a new problem.
The monitor self switch the input source, also if there is already a valid input (ex. DVI connected to the PC). Can't get into menu. The buttons are connected to a little PCB that have the touch sensor for the power on/off, after they pass into the power supply PCB to go to the mainboard.

Anyone had a problem like mine and have found a solution?

Check out this link:



It contains the same part you have for your T240, but the pdf
is for the 20" model of the Samsung monitor. According to the
pdf it looks like this part is not servicable, you just may have to replace
that part.

Sorry for the very late delay!
I was lucky to find another T240. By some testing I figured out that it's a problem derivated from the Power Board!
If someone could have a problem like mine please check the power board first!

The problem was a Cap (100uF 16V) near the 3.3v line on the connector that go to the mini board. Hooray!

I have the same problem i manage to get the thing open and got the power board out and i see the mini cable that goes to the other board. i look around that area but can not find the 100uf cap your referring to

never mind i got it fix i replace the 2 smallest caps near the connector cost $1.36 for the 2 caps woowhooo works great now

I had the same problem, replaced the 100uF cap as described here (thanks!) and monitor is back to life! But, for some reason, the buttons panel of the monitor completely stopped working - no reaction from any of the buttons... Any ideas what can be the reason? I reopened it one more time to verify that i connected all the connectors correctly. thanks a lot!
