    Sony EXCD-2 component help

I'm having trouble verifying a part in an autochanger that's been giving me weird issues.
Initially when the changer was plugged into the head unit via the BUS cable the head unit would seemingly randomly crash and reset or turn itself off. Sometimes it would ignore the CD changer entirely until the unit the hard reset button was pressed. Through trial and error I determined it would actually fail when it was warm out, or hot in the car. If it was cool outside the changer would work and run flawlessly for hours, or until it started warming up outside/in the car, so ambient temperature was more important than operating temp.
I recapped the entire unit, which was about a dozen caps and the problem persisted. I went over and resoldered the major IC's on both boards inside and still no change, so out came the hot air gun and I narrowed the fault to the DC/DC board so I pulled out the thermal imaging camera and noticed two anomalies.

The lower left hotspot is two fast-acting diodes. I swapped them out in case they were breaking down at around 45c but that didn't fix it. The other hotspot is Q903, which is a part labeled DE T6E. When touched with a hot iron the head unit would begin to spaz out until it cooled down, so I'm fairly sure I've located the part, but I can't seem to identify what type of transistor it really is.
I do not have the service manual for this changer for the record, so I can't tell what Q903 does in the circuit either.

Edited: I'm gonna add to that. The service manual is online, but everyone wants money. I'm not paying money just to figure out what one component is.

Sony KDL-55W828B Hotspot in LCD panel
    by PlanB
    Hello everybody,

I need your expertise if my asumption about the failure of this TV is correct.

A Sony KDL-55W828B only shows vertical red stripes that vanish to the top when switched on.
When only the right side of the LCD is plugged into the T-CON board the right side shows a good image, while the left side is white.
When only the left side of the LCD is plugged into the T-CON board the LCD shows a complete white image.

I checked some signals on the T-CON board but was not able to find something strange. Then I checked the the caps...

    Sony KDL-46HX850 Can't upgrade/update firmware
    by dkneyle
Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me. I can see the LED on the USB chip flash for about...

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
    by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...
