I have a Bose Wave radio series 3 that came in with "disk unreadable" issue so I cleaned the lenz and blew the thing out clean and recapped the laser board. It payed half way through a song then just quit. I watched as the CD enters the player and it does not spin or move what so ever. I did attach a power source to the motor and it does spin. I get 3v comming to the + side of the motor but nothing for a ground and it's not directly grounded. Anybody have some ideas??

I have been asked to check out a faulty Bose Wave system belonging to a relative. The faulty unit produces loud intermittent pops and crackles. Sometimes there is speaker audio output (FM/AM, CD etc.), most of the time there isn't. This behaviour degraded over time fairly quickly, to the current situation where no sound is put out at all.
