Hi Guys, My first time on the forum.
I have a Yamaha HTR-5460 Receiver that I have used for a few years. It has recently developed a problem of giving a pop in the speakers and then shutting down. This is intermittent and might happen after an hour or a couple of days of playing.
I have put it into Diagnostic Mode and it comes up with code “PS PRT 020 B”. According to the service manual “PS PRT” signifies a power supply problem in the mains transformer, 5V or 12V DC supplies. I'm assuming that the “020 B” part of the code would define which one of these options has the problem. I have been unable to find any source for the Yamaha protection codes and their meaning.
Can anyone direct me to a source of these codes or let me know what the “020 B” means?
Thanks in advance Pete
