Hello, I hope that you guys are doing great. I got a jinxbox stb that I try to change a bios chip with a new one. The chip is a mx25l3206a. I bought 10 spare ones. I try to write the firmware and it doesn't seem to work. I have two programers the green one I bought first but because it didn't recognize the new chip I when ahead and bought me a newer black edition programer. The new programer did recognize the chip at the beginning but when I try to write on it didn't write anything. I been trying everything. I read the post from you guys (google send me here when looking for solutions) . Install and try different drivers from 1.18 to 1.31 and now it stop not only of writing but it won't recognized any of the new chips anymore on both programers. The item that I try to fix is just a spare one that I do not want to invest a lot of money fixing it. Hope somebody will help me finding the solution of my problem. Thanks.

by EbrahimSiamiHello everyone,
I need help with my Acer Aspire 5920G laptop. Its original GeForce 8600M GT graphics card failed, so I replaced it with an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT MXM card.
**Problem:** The laptop powers on, but there is no display (black screen) on either the internal LCD or external monitor. This indicates a BIOS compatibility issue with the new graphics card.
**What I have tried so far:**
1. I have my **original stock BIOS dump (1MB .BIN file)** from my laptop, which works and allows the laptop to power on normally (but no display with 9600M...-

I've been dealing with so many complications for months, trying to find and then fix the root cause of the issue I really need help and I have to solve this on my own (Going to Asus headquarters isn't an option for me. First, because I'm very stubborn and want to insist that I can fix this sort-of-myself somehow, and second, the location is too far away for me anyway).
Right now I'm desperate trying to put an end to this nightmare, but OK, I'll do my best to be somewhat brief in explaining and relating the entire situation and context.

by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

by what_1282105Following this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/co...g_and_flashing) i re-flashed my t480s BIOS using an external (CH341A) programmer. The flash didnt work, so i reverted back to my BIOS backup successfully. The BIOS in the chip and the BIOS backup file are identical according to windows' file compare. The revert, however, didnt work: the only thing the computer does is flash the power button 3 times when AC power is connected. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery, holding the reset button and holding down the power button- no signs of life....
