    iris touch alarm system

    A friend gave me this, its a Iris touch 440 made by Chiron Security Communications UK.

    It has Illinois Capacitors and I'm missing datasheet for the small 5.3mmx11 Ksm and Krm series.
    The bigger 10x12.5 are bloated and marked Kxmm and I believe the are Kxm series.

    Anyone have the Ksm/Krm datasheets ? I might replace them even tough they are so small.

      Forgot this project, anyone know where to get a capacitor of 220uF,35V,630rms,esr of 0.904 and impedance of 0.128imp or better in size 10x12.5 ?

          I have a question that's driving me a bit nuts recently.

          Is the touch board on Surface Pro 4/5 somehow married to the motherboard? I have a few Surfaces that, after the touch board change, lost all touch functionality.

          - I tried flashing the bios (simple ME clean from a known good bios, previous bios didn't have an intergrated hub enabled), reinstalling firmware, reinstalling windows and even new touch boards.
          - In one instance, after I tried to troubleshoot by using a known good screen + touch pcb combo on a Surface that lost touch, the touch board...

          This house has a Honeywell Accenta G3 alarm system. If the main unit loses power for any reason, the external siren sounds - even if the alarm is not even armed! Entering the code to disarm it is not an option as the keypads are completely dead when the power is out.

          I presume this means the backup battery inside the box has failed, but I can't get in there and replace it without also setting off a tamper alarm! Is there any way to disable the tamper alarm so that electrical work can be carried out with the power off? Or a way to replace the backup battery without setting off the...

          original screen was BOE NV156FHM-T07 with On-Cell Touch screen IĀ²C

          replaced with what was in my stock, which is IVO R156NWF7 R2 which is also with On-Cell Touch screen IĀ²C

          now touch screen works perfectly in UEFI BIOS menu & boot menu. but not working in OS, tried windows & linux too

          with original broken screen i can see in device manager touch screen in human interfaces

          but with the new screen it's not showing in device manager

          is it lenovo blocking it? is it driver missing?

          IĀ²C is a headache

          Hi,

          Replaced a broken screen, everything went fine. The Surface connected to the internet, downloaded lots of updates, started updating (touch working fine at that point).
          Display driver installed, all good, touch ok.
          Then it went to installing Firmware and after completing the touch was gone. No touch in the UEFI area too, was fine before the upgrade.
          Things I've tried so far:
          reinstalling drivers,
          reinstalling Windows, both with clean install and official image.

          Is there a way to get the touch back without de-soldering the BIOS...

          I have an A2251 with a touch bar that doesn't always show up under the system info window. Randomly after an SMC reset it will be detected and the screen will look like the attachment. After booting into a fresh install of Ventura the system will lock up, the fans will go to 100% for half a second, and the system turns off.

          The board looks pristine, I think the problem is with the touchbar itself because the system info window picks up the other usb devices like the trackpad, camera, and ambient light sensor.

          Does the AMS910-WM04-0 part of the touch bar handle the...
