Should I take this undertaking “ Fault & Not Work 8000W LF Split Phase Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter DC24V/AC110V”

Is it worth the time to investigate what is wrong with this inverter according to the seller they offer repair parts I asked them what parts do they offer as repair parts cost $159.00 free shipping

    NO.

the sine generator modules fail, they blow all your mosfets when they do.

this gives you an idea how they work
incidentally, they are not LF, they are high frequency pwm with the output then modulated to create a 50/60hz wave

Would you take this opportunity and give it a go or would just not be interested in doing something like this but in either case please explain why you would or would not do it

The eBay seller is being a little bit a little misleading about what they have available for parts so who knows if this would be a good idea to do this type of repair

the chinese sell control modules on Ali for peanuts.
thats not the issue, the issue is if you get it wrong the mosfets or IGBT's are very expensive and all blow together.
because the module handles "dead time" between the pairs and when shit goes bad you get both oposing semiconductors turning on together and shorting the output.

Well, my position is this: would I pay $159 for a headache? Hell, no!
would I take the opportunity as a freebie or ten bucks and have a go at it? Yes, I would.
After all he is trying to sell you something broken. For less than $320 bucks you can buy a new one with warranty, To me it's a typical eBay rip off sellers taking advantage. Put it this way, he either has to pay someone $160 bucks or more to fix it, or he doesn't recoup any money and puts it in the e-waste . Make him a $20 offer.
