WD MY PASSPORT 2TB WD20NMVW BOARDVIEW

This might out of the topics but here I post on General electronic.

I've got client who broke his external HDD connector.
It's WD MY PASSPORT 2TB WD20NMVW with USB 3.0 connector. The connector pads tear apart.

I've been looking around for the diagram or schematics for this board. But have no luck. I don't have any membership on any storage device forums.

Would love if you can help me..

So, is that cable you soldered working ? Then back the customer data up, to another drive and done.

After that, it would be easier to find another board, and transplant the flash chip with the firmare . Or, if you are game, replace the connector and fix the damaged traces.

      Not yet, sir..
I'm still working on it and I can't find 3 more pin to connect the wire. Thats why i need any of diagram, schematic or boardview for this board.

Or if someone figure it out. I need the picture or a drawing of the pins to the connector.

If your connector is like this, you can use only the bigger side to connect a micro-usb cable. If the pins are ok can take power from it, or if you prefer, solder two wires to the 12 pin conector near it .

Just connect the USB 2 and 3 data lines (which you appear to have done), then hardwire the 5V and Ground to appropriate points on the PCB. In fact, you only need USB 2.0, but that would be slow.
