Hello guys,
I've this board for two years now, and from time to time I open my case to clean it, and yesterday I saw a swollen cap on top, near the atx power connector. I have some basic knowledge in electronics and I know that this is not good, although my board is running perfectly, I'm worried because I know that it will crash very soon. The ECS D6VAA http://www.ecsusa.com/products/d6vaa.html is a dual socket 370 board such as the VP6 that is covered in the site. Has anyone of you experienced this bad cap problem with this board? I want to do something like you describe for the VP6 on my D6VAA, could anyone give me some advice, like which caps should I change, and which are the good cap brands I should look for?
Thanks in advance,
Belial
