ASUS A553S Bios pass word

Model-ASUS A553S
M/B CODE: X553SA REV 2.0

Mine is password protected. I tried rebulding my bios with asus update file but m/b is completely dead after new bios flash. Its a 1.8v bios chip-so i have used 1.8v adapter to read and write bios. I'm not able to understand why the new bios didnt worked. can anybody here give me a working dump or rebuild mine .

Thanks jasko, I'll try and revert back with feedback. I used RT809F with 1.8v adapter to read and write bios chip-so i think there is no error in writing there.

dear jasko, i flashed bios posted by you-but it beomes complete dead after flash. If i put original dump again, there is display.

FAN0CV95987144 This is 100% correct. You can check with my original dump. Just press CTRL-F and type X553SA . You will see the serial number.

Dear Cacla, No it didnt worked. I'm surprised by the fact that when i copied the original file and saved it in my laptop-again write it with another 1.8v chip-it goes dead. I'm using RT809F programmer with 1.8v adapter to do this. So surprised why not working. I doubt perhaps all the dumps are ok-still puzzled why not working.

I tested my programmer and 1.8v adapter by reading and writing Lenovo nm-a311 eeprom chip(also 1.8v)- It worked like a charm. So neither my programmer nor my 1.8v adapter is faulty.

Can anybody advice why even a original bios when copied and flashed on another chip-not working??

PS: All the chips i used are ok-tested them on NM-A311 mb.

all my dumps are form asus sip server they use these dumps to repair boards. Psl sent me picture form the back side (the sticker) of notebook i will find your dump.

why so serious?

use this and enjoy

eeproms can be faulty too... i have some that can be read but not written
tested with may working programmers
sometimes some address are not writtable

so always verify when reading backups and writing new

Thanks Ala Borbe for responding but unfortunately its the same story-dead-no lights nothing. Again put up the original bios-display comes with password.

I took backup after flashing your dump and compared in hex editor- Your dump & my Backup after flashing your dump-No difference in file structure-100% same.

My chips cant be faulty as i tested all 3 chips on NM-A311 mb and got display.

So, i"m still wondering whats wrong-why system goes dead after flashing. No resistor or caps nearby has dislocated.

Seems like looking at the dead end.

Try putting older bios in it, or get dump from another laptop

Maybe if you do not have any other option i can play a bit with nvram to figure where password is stored

are the two Bios chips exactly the same model?
If so, this is really strange. maybe, this reveals some new fact that the original Bios chip is also protected somehow, so that it can not be replaced. this is just a guess and it is hopefully not true.

some bios have list of supported chips in descriptor region
other bios have some tricks that write some data after bios is flashed
but in that case utis does some "tricks" with gpio pins that are modified after flash on first boot

however that pins are not modified when you write flash with programmer
and bios cannot do its magic hence canot boot propertly

remember on some machines when you flash bios, mobo turns on, does something, shut off and then turns back on?
similar trick
