I have a dell inspiron 1150 that needs a recap. The cap fell off the motherboard, I unsucessfully tried to solder it back on with my basic and obviously inadequate soldering skills. I was wondering if anyone could properly identify the capacitor that I would need to replace it with and how to solder these chip type capacitors on properly (tools, procedures, . From what I have gathered at this site and others I believe the type is a surface mount aluminum electrolytic capacitor.
