Hi all,
I have a 58" Samsung that has an issue whereby it will not display a picture and cycles through its powering on process. The backlights come on for 1-2 seconds then go off. I removed the rear of the television and removed the grey flat cable going from the mainboard to the lefthand side COF (this is linked to the righthand side via a thin ribbon cable) and the backlights come on and stay on. No image is displayed (obviously). Sound can be heard through the speakers. I reconnected the flat cable and disconnected the righthand side COF and the tv behaved like it did when I disconnected the larger cable. This led me to believe there must be a fault on the right COF. Can anyone advise me what tests I can perform on the COF to determine exactly which component has failed.
Thank you in advance.
