    Samsung le46m87bdx/xeu

    Has any1 had any experience with this model & make?
    I,ve been offered 1 for 60quid faulty
    It makes a buzzing clicking noise then picture goes off but sound remains..he says after a while its ok..maybe a recap job??
    What do you guys think..thx

    The "R87" and "M87" series are very prone to having two caps on the PSU fail.

    Sometimes after the re-cap you need to reset the EEPROM which is easy enough with a screwdriver (got to bridge two pins together while turning TV on.) £60 is a bit steep though.

      I ended up getting this set for 40quidgot it home spent 1hr cleaning it inside & out & then i switched it onthe screen was smashed inside..gutted
      Ive now learned to at least switch them on 1st before paying!!
      The lad i bought it from is arguing saying i must have broke it & he only 16 so i cant kick his arse!
      What are these sets going 4 with broken screens?..all backlights work & voltages measure good..thx

        fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps,refurb of various disco equipment lighting,old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

        please let us know if everything works ok if your tv gets fixed, as it will be and aid for anyone else having the same problem and wishing to fix it.it would save people clogging up this site with topics that are duplicated,and can be found easily using the search function.,and taking up valuable space.enjoy your fixed tv!,hopefully!
