    Dell D620 laptop varistor RV1

I just replaced the power plug in a D620 dell laptop. Upon completion, I noticed that RV1 was missing! I looked around, but cannot find it. It appears that this component is a varistor. It is a tiny surface mount component. Is there any way to find out or figure out what value it is so that I might order a new one? Or am I just SOL? Thanks.

Re: Dell D620 laptop varistor RV1

I have a few D620 boards in the shop. Let me know what part of the board it's on, and I'll see if I can get you a picture.

Dell laptop model PP24L won't start from ac adapter
      by mikey5791
      Dear all,

Bought this used Dell laptop PP24L(studio 1435) in Jan 2022. It was running smooth on 64 bit Windows 7 pro from processor Intel core Duo T6400@2Ghz with 2GB RAM. The laptop battery was charging and working fine until few months back the opening screen will display something like "replacing the battery warning", press F1 to continue. Normally i press F1, the laptop will proceed to Windows and i can use as normal.

But last week, after i pressed F1, the laptop just shut down. I suspected the laptop battery is dead. So i pulled out the battery and...

Old Dell E5400 Laptop ( Purchased in the year 2008)
      by Mots06
Hi, I'm unable to find the motherboard number (PPID number) or the board view for this old laptop. My laptop won't start, and when I enter the serial number on the Dell website, it says the number is invalid. The sticker on the bottom is unreadable because it has faded over time. Unfortunately, I'm unable to start the laptop to use the power cell or explore other options.I needed the CMOS Cell & it also seems the Laptop will not start now because of the power switch issue, which is yet to be detected.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
      by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell 3537 laptop doesn't boot without embedded display.
      by Calidebear
      Hi,

I have this laptop for a long time, still it does it's job, like browsing, word , excel. Two years back laptop Hinge base broken but now it's damaging other parts of laptop so I tried to totally remove the embedded display cable from laptop and tried to boot only with external display monitor, but it doesn't boot and gives single beeps. BIOS checking the embedded display to be connected.
So checked the schematics to bypass this issue.
Found something but I don't know how to read this schematics.
