AMD / ATI A8-6410 with R5 Graphics - GPU gives Code 43

I knew there was a reason I hated ATI & AMD.....such shitty driver support. This is a SoC A8 6410 with R5 graphics on an ITX board. I've tried a dozen different drivers in win7 & S2K12 R2 (win8.1 interface & drivers), same results. Yellow exclamation next to the GPU in device manager with code 43 error after installing driver. It works fine in win10 (pre-installed on original HDD).

A day wasted searching with all kinds of cockamamie 'fixes' that didn't work....Ideas?

Yea.....sucky drivers....

The cure was using the latest Win7 driver even inspite of the fact there was a specific 8.1 driver.....wtf AMD....but I got it working. Had to force install, manually of course....as of course the installer said this driver version was incompatible with the OS....

Looks highly likely that they screwed up the inf files! Highly likely missing hardware id in those infs.

I don't know....they're supposed to be the experts at writing drivers for their products.....not me. It's pathetic that I even had to figure this out...

They do have the drivers,just not where you`d expect them to be on the site. https://community.amd.com/thread/225249
