Ahhh I see. The problem is that the terminology that you used was a bit ambiguous.

So you are talking about creating DVD's, as in authoring them? That is linking video files together, slapping on a menu and doing some cool stuff like that.

Or maybe a fully fledged video editor like Adobe Premier?

Either way Linux does not have good programs for either of these purposes. Maybe Wine will be able to run some of the good Windows applications. I know Mac's have really good programs for video editing and DVD authoring however I do not think that they made Linux versions of them.

I stand corrected, the correct syntax would be DVD AUTHORING.

I actually have a Linux program installed, it's called dvdauthor. It is a program that is run from the terminal (aka command line), so I haven't been too eager to learn how to use it.

I just located a frontend GUI for it called 'Q' DVD-Author.
