    TPM Module for Intel motherboard

I have a customer here who I built a computer for, and he wants a TPM module. I don't know anything about these, except that they're for increased security. His motherboard is an Intel DH87RL. Anyone have experience using these? Appreciate any input.

It's generates cryptographic key which then is encrypted by the TPM, mostly used for disk encryption/password protection, but does other things too. Should the drives or anything that was encrypted by the module be stolen, they would need the module to decrypted it. Of course if the machine is stolen then they would need a password/login to get into the drives as well.

The board you have there has a TPM header, so buy an intel TPM module and set it up. It should be in the manual or on intel site for compatible ones.

Thanks man. I contacted Intel directly to obtain one for the board, they don't seem to be widely available.
