    Do you need schematics/data sheets/ect?

I am starting to get the hang of using a multimeter..

But what I am having trouble comprehending is do I look for patterns in devices or do I have to focus on specific readings..

for example, if I test a capacitor and it should charge and discharge so the number should fluctuate, but should I be paying attention to the number??

Do I need schematics and such to troubleshoot or can I do without them?

And is a 1 always an open circuit and 0 always a short?

    1) Believe it or not, your manual, even the Chinenglish ones, is pretty good at describing how to properly measure components.

    2) Of course, google has ton of videos (which is how I started 2 years ago) including my fellow Canadian, afrotechmods,

    3) If you are serious about this as a hobby or want to learn a lot more, you can do what I did 2 years ago. Start reading every PlainBill post in the computer display forum and let it soak in. PlainBill has been MIA since April 2012, but 90% of what I have learned is through his posts.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

AOC CQ27G2U/BK - in need of data sheets
        by David Stroe
I am trying to repair my monitor that shows image but the backlight is not turning on. I think either the power supply is not working properly or the LED strip is failing, which seems unlikely (the whole strip is off).

I really need help in finding the data sheets for this monitor's boards. The data sheets I need are for the following boards:

        Power Supply: 715GA907-P03-000-001S and 715GA721-P01-000-0H4K
        Main Board: 715G9500-M0C-B00-005K
        T-CON Board: 19Y_270_EU3MQ_SR_V02_HF

If someone could please provide any of these data sheets, it would be awesome....

        Asus Nexus 7 2012 (ME370T REV 2.4) Schematics needed
        by Popalwali
        Hello Everyone,

I will be really grateful if someone shares schematics and if possible the boardview of the old Asus Nexus 7 (2012) Tablet. The motherboard is ME370T Rev. 2.4. Now I can find schematics for the Rev. 1.0 but I could not find the schematics for the Rev 2.4. I tried to look for similarities in the Rev. 1 but there are somethings missing, plus the board i have has nearly no component names printed on it which as a newbie makes pretty hard for me to locate things. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

        Schematics Download Site

If anyone needs schematic diagrams for any pro audio gear like what professional musicians use, such as guitar amps, power amplifiers, vintage tube amps, musical gear like keyboards, effects pedals, guitar wiring diagrams and service manuals, check out https://schematics.ca . I'm a road musician and an electronics tech and I got schematics for just about every piece of gear in my band from this site and they are free to download. It's always good to be prepared in case you fry something while on on the road, which always happens it seems. https://schematics-free.com has a lot of free audio schematics...

        clean hisense inner sheets
        by Raulnn
Can you clean the internal sheets of a tv? I have a 58-inch TV and I don't know if it's worth cleaning the sheets. I have seen that it has dirt on the sheets and the leds are blown. I don't know if they look good when you clean the sheets. Thanks in advance.
