this is going to sound like a rant, but here goes:
trying to find decent bluetooth mice at a decent price is like trying to find well made sacons.
yeah, sure, you can find them cheap online and at fry's, but most of them are poorly made and ONLY HAVE 3 buttons!
heck, microsoft is still sellign the bluetooth mouse 5000 for $45, and it is an aged design, with only 4 buttons and oldstyle 2 way scroll.
what i am looking for is a stupid bluetooth mouse with 5 buttons done the right way. that means the 2 sise buttons are on opposite sides of the mouse, not 2 in the center or 2 one the left side.
you can find wireless laptop mice with that layout, but only in a proprietary 2.4ghz config. to me, this is worse than wired, since the "leave and forget" RF dongles are more like "leave, forget, and lose". even worse, if you lose the little thing, you have to buy a new mouse
, since NOBODY makes replacement dongles. thats right people, if you lose the dongle, you are hung by the balls. the only thing close is the logitech unify concept, where the dongles are universal, but once again, the only way to get a new dongle is to GET A NEW MOUSE!!!

i did find this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826105052
but good luck getting one without
the wallet... you can get one for $36 if you buy used and beat up... new, prepare to pay $75.
can you get 5 button bluetooth mice for kinda-cheap? yes, if you don't mind crappy quality and poor button layout:
http://www.overstock.com/Electronics...4/product.html
http://www.overstock.com/Electronics...5/product.html
but as i have found out, they don't last and after reading a review on the latter, i discovered that instead of using a "connect" button ont he base, you instead hold the left and right buttond for 3 sec... yeah geniuses, that make great sense!
and last but just as bad as the rest, there is that new HP wifi mouse. button layout, check. but, the idiots there have a nice surprise... it only works with windows 7. that means if you are using vista/xp/linux/mac, you are
you would think that there would be more mice with blue tooth, but me thinks they figure it is more profitable to sell people RF crap and when they lose the dongle,
them into buying a new mouse.
anybody else agree this is a bunch of
?
