I'm hoping you electronics gurus can help me out here...
I took off the front panels on my Antec case earlier today so that I could clean up all the dust that had collected in there over the years. When I took off the bottom panel, one pair of wires broke off the PC Speaker, which was embedded in the panel.
The two wires are attached to a little plate, which you can see at the bottom of the picture. They must have just glued the plate onto the back of the speaker, and looking at the patterns of glue on the plate and the speaker, I figured out how the plate should align with the speaker (the + wire matches up with one of the holes, and the - wire matches up with the other hole; the front side says which hole is + and -). So I super-glued it back on. Then I plugged it into a motherboard, and didn't hear any beeps when booting up. The pc speaker on that motherboard works, so maybe I did something wrong? Any ideas?
