I installed the program and run the commands you stated. This is the result.

I have pretty much no idea what all this is for...

    Re: DSDT discussion

Its for "fixing" the ACPI table so it works properly in linux. Windows just works around ACPI bugs. Something didn't compile right, look at the documentation for iasl and see if the errors actually make a difference.

Can you upload the DSL file, so I can compare the fixes 67GTA did with what was there originally and then inform you of it. As well, can you tell me of a good free text editor like Kate for Windows that will show me line numbers? Wordpad isn't doing it.

Yes, you read that right, the bug that HP/Compaq never fixed is finally no more, 16 years later. You probably don't care but here it is anyway.

            Bug

Basically the bug is as follow: you want to use Linux on this machine, but it doesn't power off when you shut it down, you cannot put it to sleep, nouveau driver for NVidia GPUs doesn't load, etc…
At boot, you may be greeted by the following message:

            iMac 2009 A1312 2009 not booting - 3rd led not on
            by sylvain_92
            Hi everyone,

I am trying to repair my iMac A1312 late 2009 intel i5.

First of all it was booting but no screen on internal lcd but working with external one,

            I tried:
            - another screen and led power board (booting no screen - same as before)
            - another mxm graphic card (not booting missing 3rd led)

            * screen and mxm gpu tested are 100% working on another A1312 iMac.

I putted back the original mxm graphic card and what a surprise, now it's not booting anymore even with the stock parts.

            The main...

Two iMacs 2009 - black screen, backlight OK, GPU OK, four LEDs on - any ideas?
            by tom.tom
            Hello,

I've recently got two 2009 iMacs (820-2733-A) with the video issue I have never come across before. The symptoms are as described briefly in the topic:
            • both boot with chime and load the OS (Live Linux from USB),
            • four LEDs are on,
            • the LCDs get the backlight, but no video data (black screen with just the backlight),
            • no video on the external monitor,
            • GPUs are 100% OK,
            • LCDs and LVDS cables are 100% OK.

How do I know the listed components are ok - have working 2009 iMac C2D to exchange the components with.

I suspect motherboards, but two iMacs with...
