In another forum I stated that I thought that all gaming video cards today use solid caps. A fellow posted a couple of photos of a 7600gs video card with the metallic can caps, one which, though blurry in the photo, looked like it burst and had residue coming out.
After looking more carefully at the photos I seem to see K shaped reliefs in them, so to my surprise I am guessing that they are paste filled caps? Or are they some other type? I thought I had read that solid caps were used on video cards now, is that wrong? Isn't the lower ESR needed for the video cards?
I am not concerned with winning or losing a discussion, but with finding out what is true, can you help, please, thank you!
