    asus mobo#p3v-133 black out after changing processor

    after changing the procesor it blacks out,possible caps failure.
    there no signs burns,leaks or anything.most of my freinds with the same
    board has had this problem.

    *note: jumper settings are all corrrect

    May simply be a sign that the processor chip got damaged or the processor isn't supported, at least without a BIOS flash.

      I 2nd... I've seen that a lot... Put the old CPU back in and make sure the BIOS is updated and supports the new CPU.

        problem still remains after putting back the old processor and tried several known good ones.
