    Rubycon MHE series specs?

    Hello All,

I have a couple Rubycon MHE 100uf 16v caps that I found bad in a 26" Panasonic HDTV LCD tv. I haven't had any luck here or online sourcing these specs. I even contacted Digi-Key and they couldn't help me either. Anyone have any info on these caps?

    Thanks As Always,

It's a general purpose series, probably custom made for some manufacturer.

Based on some stats from an old thread, Rubycon YXF would work (and be way better), but maybe even the standard Rubycon PX or other standard series (maybe Nichicon VR , PW) would work just fine.

      Hello mariushm,

Thanks for the very quick reply! So its not low esr? If it is can I use Panasonic FC.FM,FR? More info please.

      Take Care,

        Re: Rubycon MHE series specs?

Being such low capacitance and with such low voltage rating, I doubt they were used in any circuit that required low ESR.
It's pretty hard to have a low esr in such low capacitance and voltage rating anyway.

FM or FR might be too good as replacements. FC will probably work just fine. Don't bother making special orders for a particular capacitor brand/series, get whatever's available to you and not a totally no-name capacitor.
