Two weeks ago my power supply has died. Took it in service, something is repaired, but there is one PWM controller on the back side of the circuit board which doesn't have designation on itself so I can't buy it from catalog. If somebody knows something about it please let me know. I'm also sending pictures. Thanks in advance.

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.
Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today.... -

by mrsithHi fellow lifesavers.
I have a Samsung washer-dryer WD80N645OOW which died mid-cycle. No response to anything, completely dead.
Checked the socket, the plug fuse, all good. Took it out to examine the boards.
There is a relay clicking on the mainboard. Upon applying power, I can see a diode flashing on inverter board, after a while a diode on main board lits up for a split second, then I can hear a relay clicking. This repeats a few times, then everything dies completely.
I've been trying to examine the main board, but it's a bit difficult becuse...4 Photos -
by dmill89I recently got ahold of a bright green Chieftec/Chenming "Dragon" case (I've always liked these cases, especially in "oddball" colors) and decoded to throw together a period correct-ish build.
Components:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R:
CPU: Intel Xeon W3680
RAM: 24GB DDR3-1333
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 (I know a GTX1060 is a bit too new, I was going to use a GTX780, but it was too long to fit with the lower HDD cage installed, and the GTX1060 provides similar performance)...-

by joesmoe91Hello,
My Dell Precision 5530 turned off suddenly when I was running Matlab and wouldn't turn on, show any lights, fans, and/or any signs of activity at all. I opened the case, removed the battery and looked at the board with a thermal camera while the AC adapter was connected. I saw that PU1252 was >120C so figured the chip had died on me Got the part number off the attached schematic (see Mouser link below) and replaced the chip. After replacing the chip the board (connected to AC adapter) was able to briefly power on, spin the fans a little bit, and turn on the front led lights.... - Loading...
