    quality of boost converter

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-100W-3...UAAOSwGzlTveei

Im thinking of buying it. Whats your thoughts?

My goal is too power some led strips from tvs as mood lighting. The strips are 24v but will power up with 12v, just dim. I have been saving them for resale, but not selling as I would like. So might as well as put them to good use.

I figured with this I can crank voltage up when I need more light or down when i want to chill and vibrate. Whats ya thoughts?

Im literally thinking of attaching near the ceiling to the wall, because they dont generate a lot of heat. I was able to hold the strips at 24v without burning my hands.

Then run them left to right from one corner to other......

And I do have some leds from Hisense that has a bluish tint to them.....

Why not just buy a $10 string of Christmas lights?

Cause I have 50 lbs of scrap xmas lights. No fun in fixing them.

I wanted to make something out of nothing. I always like building stuff. And I think its neat! And I can add as many strings as I want.

I was thinking of feeding the converter 24v from a old printer ac adapter and then downconvert for whatever brightness I wanted.

In theory I can line every wall in a giant square with them!!

That's what I did with led Christmas tree lights 4 years ago. Gives the living room a little light for my nocturnal ramblings.
