RCA 46LA55R120Q no picture, sound and back-light work

i have a RCA 46" 1080p LCD tv model number 46LA55R120Q. The screen doesn't show anything but the sound works and the back-light seems to work. I checked the boards and there seem to be no apparent damage.

i am having trouble pinpointing which component isn't functioning.

Since you have power backlight and sound your fault is most likely on the tcon. You can test to see if the fuse on the tcon is good and has about12 volts on both sides.
