I have had this monitor for about 6 year it was made 3/ 1999
I have always like using this monitor until about 6 to 8 month ago when it slow started to pulsate the picture bright to point now I think I am in the Twilight Light Zone and it real bad looking at it at night
So I though let me see if it is suffering from capitis and SURE enough it is
so far I have check the video in board that goes to the picture tube board has 6 caps that read low when being test 2 of them read more than 10%
On the main board there at least < 6 > 1000 uF @25 volts that read 950 uF or lower less
There < 3 > 47 uF @ 25 volts that read 42 uf or less
There one 220 UF @ 400 volts that reads 205 to 210 this one is a ? able if it good or not
I have only check 1/ 10 of this board so far
Dose any one think that this would give this problem that I am having with this monitor
I am going to recap it I do not have all of the cap for it right now but the ones that I do have I am changing them now
On the video in board that goes to the picture tube board has three of .47 uF @ 160 volt NO ( + or - ) on it, it has a ( NK) on them Where do I find these caps they are made by CapXon
There are On the video in board that goes to the picture tube board there are 16 caps By the way the one that you see the red paint on the caps those read low I do not have these caps yet and on the main board there at least 50 caps on it
Below are are some photo of the two boards
This is the BIGEST Project that I have taken so far
I am recapping it with mostly Panasonic (FR)
