vizio vo420e dim in center then shutdown

unit had bad burnt up inverter transformer replaced power supply /inverter board old one had a hole burnt thru it.
set now will power up Orange to white back lights blink 2x then screen info comes on but it is very dim in the center of the screen then unit shuts down sound is still present but no backlights
is it possible that the burnt transformer damaged the back lights?
it looks like a bad household florescent light were only the ends of the tubes light and their is insufficient gas or voltage to light the entire length of the bulb?

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem
