It's kind of a cloudy day and rainy so I couldn't take decent shots of the board.
This is what I have done so far.. checked all the caps in the power-inverter board. No visibly bloated caps and they tested ok with ESR meter.
Original symptom is weird thin plaid horizontal line on screen while it shuts down after 2 seconds. Majority of the small caps on the video board are all bad. Haven't gotten around to replacing them yet ( I will) The caps are the through hole type.
Decided to check voltages at the connecting block and the voltages at the 2 Schottkey Diodes in the Output section of the power supply.
The board says +14VDC and + 5VDC and BLON Grd
Got no voltage reading at 14VDC.. I got 4.7 VDC at +5VDC. Got no voltage at BLON Grd.
Diode 206 read 4VDC
Diodge 205 read 12VDC
Would I be correct in guessing D206 is fubared?
Thanks
