Saw some posts you made here and there on HP boards. Wanted to get your opinion on an HP 15-f010wm board. Customer brought it in because it's been acting weird. Power on, shows "bios recovering". After a few minutes, it starts verifying and then fails verification. Turn the machine off, then on and it boots into windows. Ran all day with zero problems. Next morning, turn it on ... 2 blink error code on the caps lock and no post. Removed the internal battery to reset, computer now boots/runs without problem. I keep having to remove the battery on every cold boot. I'm really leaning towards a bios issue and not so much a northbridge problem.
Using the CH341 device, and 1.29 version software ... I copied the bios and saved it to a BIN file. Then wrote that BIN file to a new chip. Installed to the mainboard, and nothing. Caps lock gives a 1 blink error code, cpu. Put the old bios chip back on, booted and ran fine.... any thoughts??
