I don't find the Hard Disk Sentinel database convincing. It says that ST328040A (Barracuda ATA I; 7200RPM, ball bearing, 4 platters) has the same noise output as ST320014A (U Series X; 5400RPM, fluid-dynamic bearing, 1 platter).
