    Computer CRTs have higher resolutions and use progressive scan instead of interlaced, so yes, they do run at higher frequencies than television sets.

    Approximations:

    60Hz interlaced, 525 lines (NTSC): 15,750Hz
    50Hz interlaced, 625 lines (PAL): 15,625Hz
    60Hz progressive, 480 lines (VGA): 28,800Hz

    85Hz progressive, 768 lines: 65,280Hz
