    I meant 90% tin, 10% silver. Not all lead in all kinds of solder is of that quality. And by low frequency, I meant that the frequency is still relatively high, obviously high enough to not be that audible (they run at around 15KHz-16KHz, I believe, at least older Televisions, computer CRTs could be higher), but not as high as say, the amount of pulses a second (or how many KHz) you'd find in a power supply or on a motherboard (30-50KHz in the primary side of a PSU, and as much as 100KHz on the secondary side...), or on a graphics card. CRTs seem to handle unstable voltages really well - not so much motherboards or power supplies. It's true that not all CRTs are of premium quality, sometimes either the flyback section or the tube goes bad. And as you said, CRTs don't technically have pixels but rather deflected electron beams. But I find the best quality CRTs last as long as the nicest of HDDs.
