There's nothing like good sound for me. Too many people have only played 'music' off the latest i-this or i-that fad. By 'music,' I mean low quality, low bandwidth/bitrate imitations of the original source. Not to be a jerk, but I've got records here that wipe the floor with yootoob's 'high quality.' Another gripe of mine is that CD recording, done properly, is hit 'n miss with the 'easy button' crowd. You also have people who make a few copies for their friends without cleaning the source disc off...
I enjoy building/working on power supplies, LCD monitors, old TVs, even VCRs. Since it's a great way to get just what you want, I also like to build my own speakers and amps.
