Please help, I get a HP board (as title). It failed to boot, i tried clear cmos and when I plug the dc jack, the machine auto power on with 5 short beeps (HP said: BIOS recovery successful) but no picture and all the fans making noise like Airplane is taking off. I want to try a bios flash...

Thank you for your reply, I managed to change the MAC address with the Intel tool. I use Int82574 on Intel 82579LM Lan and it worked.

Hello, i have this pc and it wont boot after i messing with it (plug/unplug some drive and ram's) so i remove the Bios IC and flash the new one with programator (bin file) after that pc work great until i find out that Lan wont work, the reason is that in bios the internal mac adress is FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF and other details are missing. I try to change those details with Intel tool NbDMIFit but it just say that “vendor is not something bla bla”
What can i do in this case? Is the reason for wrong MAC the fact that bios is missing those details (chassis number, BID, Feature byte, product...

You can add the serial number and model info using HP Bios Config Utility or NBDMIFIT/WNDMIFIT

Hello. I'm looking for anyone who has the SFF version of the HP Compaq 6300 Pro that is still using the original PSU. Been trying to find out the original wire placement on that P2 connector, so I can try to get it running with an aftermarket PSU. Thanks!
