In the 3000 micro case it seemed to be a Macronix MX25L12872F which was right by the battery on the board. Other than having to fiddle with the clip a couple times to get it on solidly it worked well....

I just wanted to say thank you for this patcher. It worked perfectly after clipping and dumping the BIOS of a Dell Optiplex 3000 micro (12th gen) with NeoProgrammer which was the first one I could find that said it had support for the chip. After hashing a few dumps to make sure they were coming out identical, I patched one, wrote it back, and then the device booted into factory mode and let me set the service tag. Importantly the admin password was no longer present.Leave a comment:
