Hi, thanks for the help.
I tried the file, but it says: "Selected file is not a UEFI BIOS." I also tried using a USB drive, still no luck. Then I checked the system info. It lists the motherboard as: ASUS X515EA. However, the motherboard itself has X415EA printed on it.
Could that be the issue? The attached .zip file is for the X415EA.
System Model: VivoBook_ASUSLaptop X515EA_X1500EA
The faulty motherboard I replaced was labelled X415EA R2.0....Leave a comment:

Thanks for the reply. Checked and re-seated the cables. USB keyboard works ok.

My motherboard died on Asus X415EA-EB741TS (motherboard is X415EA R2.0). Replaced the motherboard with X415EA R7.0. Everything works apart from the keyboard. It types random characters. Really appreciate any help....Leave a comment:
