Thanks for the help. after i tried to read the whole thing a few more times to finally get the right file, i ended up with just garbage, hardly any content rather just FF (at the beginning still very different files as from my previous post).
I finally decided to rewrite the chip with your file "HP ZBook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation_BIOS.rar" as it covers my mainboard number and everything works as it should. thanks again!

I have read the whole thing several times now (CH341 Programmer v1.29). after each read I have plugged the programmer out and in and got a different file each time. maybe it's just the order of the data? but I don't know well enough to judge, here are the last 2 files...Leave a comment:
