  • EagleEye motherboard (Zotac Rebrand) Bios assist needed

Hello, newbie here. please be gentle :P

I have been lurking these forums for a while trying to figure out how to get into this motherboard's bios. Hopefully to repurpose it as a general workstation. Unfortunately my bios chip reader is still in the mail, but i have managed to get windows 7 running on it and was able to make a backup of the bios.

Strangely it shows in CPU-Z as a EMBM315B02.

From what i can tell its a rebranded Zotac H87ITX-A-E missing wifi pigtails, and missing usb 3.0 internal header. I was half tempted to just order on ebay the bios...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Might be having an issue here. cant create a new thread after making a couple of posts, read a few faq's and maybe i missed something. please advise.

    from what i read
1.activate account through email link (done)
2.post in new members thread (done)
    3.read site rules (done)

Things are working now. Mods, please delete if you deem appropriate.

  • Re: Topcat's Other Misc Weird Build Thread

New user here. and subscribed to this thread. I love obscure build threads. i about shed a tear over the dell AIO with the digitizer cracking. probably my biggest fear working on those things. thankfully knock on wood i have yet to break one but ive only done a few.

  • Re: Server equipment... slow boot?

I dont think HP uses supermicro. HP does alot of other stuff though. IPMI comes to mind with HP (aka their ILO remote management stuff). really depends on the configuration, but yeah taking long at boot is par for the course in server world from what i can see....

  • Re: Server equipment... slow boot?

Supermicro boards tend to be slower at boot up. This extends to some HEDT and workstation boards as well. It also depends if you have memory testing enabled at boot, that can drastically extend boot times.

now that i think about it, i dont think i have ever owned a server board that would boot up right away like a consumer grade board would.
