quite simple to enter dfu. disconnect power cable, connect usb-c cable to imac port next to lan port, other cable end to working computer with apple configurator, then press and hold power button and after 3 seconds connect power cable to imac. keep holding power button until you see dfu sqare on apple configurator, 3-5 secondsLeave a comment:

Do not replace D22 if it's not shorted and shows conduction one way only (around 450mV measured on diode range). Replace R29 and R45 2Ω resistors, R24 510Ω resistor (they are quite often burnt if Q1 and Q2 are shorted), five 0.330Ω/1206 resistors in parallel, Q1+Q2 and both 2.5A fuses. You may also need to replace the SL12 NTC thermistor as it is sometimes also affected on these PSU boards (you can see a burnt hole on its surface if damaged). The value of NTC is 10Ω. You probably have an LDO pin 17 shorted to ground by one of the bunch of components connected to that +3VPCU power rails, most likely this will be EC (IT8987). Measure the resistance to ground on +3VPCU LDO output pin 17 of SY8286B, and if it's low in Ohms, perform a short test on this pin. Not an equivalent - RT8249C has pin 19 as SKIPSEL (PWM Operating Mode Selection) and TPS51225C has pin 19 as VCLK (Charge Pump Output Clock). TPS51225C is only an equivalent to RT8249A/B and RT6585A/B.
