I have the service manual for this Acer P7820 projector but it has no boardview or schematics. Trying to troubleshoot startup issues.

If it helps I can also add that if I start it up without the lamp it behaves exactly the same. It seems it's not even getting to the lamp check.
It shows up as ddp3020 if I connect it to my PC with USB. I have not found any drivers for that. Guessing it's a virtual com port.
I can also make it boot into firmware update mode by holding power and menu at startup. -
Old Acer P7280 Projector - No fans no light
Just for fun I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my old Acer P7280 projector.
It shows no errors, lamp or so. Every looks okay. The red led when plugged in and blue led when I turn it on. However, there is no fan spin and no light. After a while the color wheel starts to spin a couple of times, and then stays on. Nothing else happens.
I have measured all voltages coming out from the PSU, they seem correct, the ballast is getting it's 380V (If I remember correctly) voltage. 12.5v and 5v standby is present and stable on the main board , other voltages probe ok as... -

Hi! Hoping to find some answers here to the ever returning bad caps issues all equipment seems to suffer from sooner or later. Latest patient, my lg tv that has a thin horizontal line across it. Im hoping its a bad cap. Changing caps is cheap
new tvs are not
