Hello well how to start i used to study computer programing and i quit so after a while i started fixing computers for life, i manage few fun sites most of the time i do software repairs and sometimes i do hardware also. My first computer was comodore 64 22 years ago now i have several around me but none worth mentioning cause their speed is average but they do their jobs. Well that's me hope i have fun and enjoy this forum see ya on board.

Hello, thanks for accepting me in badcaps. I'm 49 yr old, male from Oklahoma. Permanently Disabled Army Vet. No degrees in electronics, just tinkered enough to know I don't know enough. Able to replace capacitors, built many home computers. Have a small understanding of electronics. So hoping the questions I have can be answered so I don't screw something up. Lol. Appreciate any and all assistance.

Hi,
I am new to the forum and I am in search of technical support. I like to fix things and usually get successful. However I sometimes get stuck and becomes obsessed in finding the solution. This is where you guys come in. I have a broad knowledge of many things but not expert knowledge in a given topic. So right now I am stuck with fixing a Samsung plasma TV HRP 5052 and for some reason I think you guys will be able to provide the right tips to unblock the situation. Besides liking to mess with electronics, I love sport cars and currently the proud owner of a 2016 Corvette Z06.

Thanks for having the info I needed to repair my UPS. Wow - service manual, schematics, photos - what more could an EE wish for.

I've been working in electronics since at least 1964 when I passed my Novice test. Yes, that did include 5 wpm of code T/R. Built Heath Kit radios to learn electronics, then got a BS/MSEE and worked in the semiconductor industry for 40+ years. I enjoy fixing things myself, laptop repair, embedded Linux (Debian - systemd-ugh), Linux servers, POE security cameras, etc, etc.

Found info I needed to troubleshoot WFO 8945AN that was source of every DC circuit shorted to ground. This was a HUGE help & money saver. I will make a donation!!Thanks so much for putting this together "Stooge Boss!" This will be my "go to" for all things electric and/or electronic!
