Test the buffer boards for short-circuit on the output pins.
It takes some seconds for the screen to fully recover from these black spots when the sustain issue is solved.

The other tv you bought works fine except for the HDMI?

Okay so I was able to find a parts tv. Bit I'd like to fix both. So I know what's wrong g with the one I got today the main board had the hdmi component ripped off. I tried swapping a sustain boards and it did the exact same thing. So it's not the z sustain, power supply or?

you can just desolder the legs and lift them up a bit .

You can check SF20D400SD2 as Biruslapio says since they are dual diode pack which your meter can test. Unfortunately the best way to test them is if they test short on the board to desolder them and test again.

You got some part numbers wrong. For q302, q281 and q282 is SMK0825, an IGBT.

RJP30H2A is an IGBT, nothing comes up with RKP30.

    SF20D400SD2 is a diode.

If they are suspect of being shorted, then they have be desoldered from the board and tested off-circuit.

There low and fluctuating alot compared to the others around 200 and fluctuates
    Q302 auk b2c25 smk0825
    Q282 auk b2c25 smk0825
    Q281auk b2c25 smk0825
Where do I find them? And the other types on this are
    Rkp30h2a 4p 026 and auk b3103 sf200400sd2
    Thanks

    What are those weird readings?

Anything below 500 ohms is a problem.

    yes, use the ohms scale.

Good morning, I've been looking for my other multimeter but moved and can only find this one, will this one work?
    Thanks

If you don't have the means to repair it, might as well buy a replacement Z-Board, it all points to it, the rest of the screen is properly displayed, and these black spots are a sign of a bad Z-SUS, it is cheap in my country, but may not be at yours.

If it's expensive and you want to repair it youself you need to probe with a multimeter the components I pointed at #16.

Thanks. It doesnt look like theres any known cold solder joints, has anyone had this issue before?

Check resistance between the IGBTs, those 5 pin optocouplers, there can be no shorts between any of the pins of these 2 types of components. Low value resistors are also worth testing, they go open if a short occours in series with them.

Is there a way to test and repair it, I'm assuming you had this issue as well? Thanks

A very-late one! I still wish I was able to snag a pristine one of those!

The closest we have, is one built in 2009, despite an excellent picture on ours, there's faint black spots, especially on the right of the screen, seen when it's all white on the screen. Is this a symptom of a hardware problem? I don't know right now. It honestly resembles dead LEDs on a recent LCD!
