So I took apart the TV to get the backlights.
I measured the voltage across each LED strip (there are pads exposed for + and -). For 7 of the strips I measured 7.5-8.5VDC, except for 1 strip that measured 108VDC. There are two wire pairs that connect the left and right sides, I measured from that source and one measurement was 180VDC, the other was zero (maybe I just wasn't pressing down hard enough on the connectors). When measuring on the exposed pads I can see the other LED strips light up faintly, while the one I'm measuring remains off.
Before I go buying anything I want to know if I should bother replacing the power supply too, considering one the strips has gone bad and may have damaged it too. Or if there's anything else I should consider testing.
I was gonna ask some more questions, but I took the LED strip out just now and I can clearly one LED is burnt, nice big black spot on it.
Thanks for help
