Geforce nvidia 650 graphics card question

I couldn't find a group for questions on graphic cards, so I thought I would try this one. My graphics card is a GTX Geforce 650 graphics card by Nvidia. It has a mini hdmi out port on it. I want to watch movies from netflix playing on my pc, coming out of the mini hdmi, going into my hdmi port on my tv. Just so I can have a larger screen, and be more comfortable. When i hook it up I can tell that it is getting a signal, because I can see the Nvidia page on hdmi 2 source, on my tv. Just like when you hook up a dvd player before you start the movie, you see the dvd page. If i go to netflix and play a movie. Nothing changes on my tv, and I can't view the movie playing on my tv. Is there something I have to change on the graphics cards control panel? If so, what? Is there something I have to change on my computer? If so, what? I do have a mini hdmi to a hdmi cable hooked up from my graphics card out to my hdmi input on my tv. Please help. I have updated my drivers for my graphics card already.
