Hi I'm looking at a Toshiba 40D1333B for a family friend, the TV has no picture but sound is okay when connected to a source. I stripped the unit down and found the LED inverter board is a SSL400_0D5A. The voltages on the power cable to the inverter are okay without the inverter connected as soon as the inverter is connected it pulls the supply voltages to nearly 0. I'm not very good with SMD's so I purchased a new inverter from eBay and connected it in tonight. The backlight LED's power up for a brief moment and then nothing. I've noticed I have about 5 LED's out on this unit. Could the reduced load on the invertor cause it to shut down or have I a faulty spare?
Thanks in Advance
NB supply voltages now OK on inverter power cable when connected in.
